It was ten years ago when the anime series ‘Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (Ano Hi Mita Hanano Namae wo Bokutachi wa Madashiranai)’ touched our hearts with a lovely narrative of love.
According to AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day’s 10th-anniversary website, there will be a staged reading of the series’ sequel narrative, titled “AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day’s Tenth Anniversary Staged Reading,” which is scheduled to take place in Tokyo on September 15, 2017.
Tatsuyuki Nagai and Mari Okada wrote the screenplay for the anime, which tells the story of a group of friends who reconcile after the ghost of their deceased buddy appears one summer. More than 800,000 people have rated it an 8.35/10 on MyAnimeList, making it one of the most popular shows of all time.
It was produced by A-1 Pictures during the first season. Fans have been waiting a long time for a follow-up story to the first season, which was released ten years ago. A second season of the show may be on its way. Here’s what we know so far.

Season 2 has yet to be announced, even though we already have a sequel story. It premiered in Japan on April 14th and ended on June 23rd, 2011, with a total of 11 episodes. On August 31st, 2013, an anime film opened in Japanese theatres.
Sadly, it appears like the anime won’t be returning to our screens for some time, perhaps at all.
