Legoshi ultimately confronts Tem’s killer in Beastars season 2, but what does it mean for the rest of the students at Cherryton Academy? Based on recent developments, here’s all we know so far about the upcoming season of the anime Beastars, thanks to Studio Orange and Netflix.
Animals are separated into herbivores and carnivores in the universe of Paru Itagaki’s manga series, which serves as the inspiration for the game’s setting. Even though the society looks to be civilized, tensions persist between the affluent and the impoverished, and violence erupts when predators indulge their primal urges to consume victims.
Legoshi, a bashful adolescent grey wolf, tries to balance his feelings for Haru, a white dwarf rabbit, with his instincts to hunt. Legoshi is on the hunt for the carnivore that ate his alpaca companion, Tem, as the murder case unfolds.
Beastars season 2 wrapped up the story of Tem’s death, but there are still many unanswered questions from the manga, which ended in 2020 after 196 chapters. Check out this list of upcoming events in Beastars Season 3.

Beastars Season 3 Release Date
Beastars Season 3’s release date is still up in the air. Beastars season 3 would likely follow the same release pattern as the previous two seasons, which were both televised on Fuji TV in Japan before being released on Netflix. Season 3 of Beastars is expected to arrive on Netflix in the fall of 2022, following the release of seasons 1 and 2 in March 2020 and July 2021, respectively.
Beastars Season 3 Story
Riz, a brown bear and a student at Cherryton Academy’s theatrical club, was found to have killed and eaten Tem in the second season of Beastars. Legoshi decided to take on Riz rather than reveal this information to the authorities.
To overcome Riz, Legoshi had to work with carnivore therapist Gouhin, but he was unable to do so because of his intense training and abstaining from eating meat. A fight between Louis and Riz in the season finale was made possible thanks to Louis’s request to Legoshi that the lower portion of his leg is eaten. Despite Legoshi’s eventual release, the eating episode remained on his permanent record.
After being put on hold for most of Beastars season 2, the final scene hinted that Legoshi and Haru’s romance may get back up when Haru informs Legoshi that she will find another man without him making up her mind about dating her.
Next up in the manga is “Interspecies Relations,” which follows Legoshi as he graduates from high school and prepares to enter the real world while also maintaining his relationship with Haru, who is about to join college.
