Chadwick Boseman was an American actor, producer, and director. He is mostly known for his roles as T’Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, notably the lead in Black Panther. Boseman was listed in the 2018 Time 100 for becoming the first black actor to play the lead role in an MCU movie.
Boseman rose to prominence as a stage actor, writer, and director. He began his acting career by appearing in several TV shows before landing roles in some of the biggest films ever made. Aaron Boseman was born in Anderson, South Carolina on November 29, 1976, to Carolyn, a nurse, and Leroy Boseman, who worked at a textile factory and ran an upholstery business. Boseman learned martial arts as a child and continued to practise as an adult. When he was a kid, he wanted to be an architect.

Chadwick Boseman College Life
Boseman was a basketball player at T. L. Hanna High School. In 1995, he graduated from high school. He turned down a basketball scholarship to pursue his passion for the arts. He graduated from Howard University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing. While a student at Howard, he worked at an African-American-focused bookstore, which inspired his play Hieroglyphic Graffiti.
Boseman and his fellow classmates were accepted to the Oxford Summer Program of the British American Drama Academy at Balliol College, Oxford, England. He attended the program in 1988 and learned to appreciate William Shakespeare’s playwriting as well as Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter’s writing.
