Demon Slayer: Who Is Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira?
Nora
Demon Slayer’s upcoming third season will be about two more Hashira, including Muichiro, the Mist Hashira. Keep reading for more.
The Hashira are the best Demon Slayer Corps members, and each of them has their own unique way of breathing. In Demon Slayer, the main heroes Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke have gone on adventures with a few of them, most recently with Tengen Uzui, the flashy Sound Hashira.
Demon Slayer has had a number of story arcs so far, with the Entertainment District Arc being the most recent. Now that the trailer for the third season of the anime has come out, it looks like Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, and Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, will be in the spotlight along with Tanjiro and his friends. Who is the second character? He is the more mysterious of the two.

Head In The Clouds
Muichiro’s first appearance in the anime is in episode 22 of the first season. This is when the Hashira are called to decide what will happen to Tanjiro because he was a Demon Slayer and kept a demon inside of him. While the other Hashira say what they think should happen to Tanjiro, Muichiro seems completely worn out by it all.
While everyone else is talking about Tanjiro’s crime, he is seen looking up at the sky and getting lost in the clouds. In fact, the first thing Muichiro says in the anime is, “What was that cloud’s shape again?” Even though the rest of the Hashira are asking Tanjiro questions, Muichiro is still looking up at the sky and wondering what kind of bird is flying around up there.
When the Master of the Mansion decides what should happen to Tanjiro, Muichiro says that he doesn’t care what happens because he’ll forget about it anyway.
It looks like Muichiro doesn’t care about what’s going on in front of him. It’s pretty funny that Muichiro is dreaming about this important decision while everyone else is talking about it. He seems confused and hard of hearing.
The Wonder Kid
Muichiro is the youngest Hashira. He is only 14 years old, which makes him even younger than Tanjiro. So, it’s not surprising that he would rather let his mind wander to other things than think about something as important as whether Tanjiro should live or die.
Even though he is young and small, he may be quite strong physically. During the discussion about Tanjiro travelling with a demon, he throws a few pebbles at him, knocking him out. He says it was rude to talk over the Master, so he did not want to be interrupted. If Muichiro can knock out a fellow Demon Slayer with just two fingers and a few small stones, he may be much stronger than first thought.
In the second season of the anime, Tengen says that Muichiro became a Hashira just two months after he first picked up a sword. Muichiro has great discipline and a lot of natural talent, which he used to become a very skilled Demon Slayer at such a young age. He really is a child genius, which people have known since he was young.
Fighting Style
Muichiro is the Mist Hashira and uses Mist Breathing because he is the Mist Hashira. This form comes from the Breathing Style used by Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, which is Wind Breathing.
Mist is made by the user, who also controls it, to make it look cloudy. This makes the person you’re attacking confused, which lets you hit them.
To add to this effect, Muichiro might wear loose clothes to hide his movements, just like the mist does. It’s possible that Muichiro’s plan for fighting is to do things that go against what people expect. Muichiro uses both Mist Breathing and a white Nichirin sword.
