Blizzard has confirmed a debut date for the upcoming Diablo 3 2.7.3 update on the PTR, which means Season 26 of Diablo 3 will begin with an extended testing period.
The Diablo team is getting ready to begin testing the next part of the game as Season 25 resumes this week. Soon, PC users will be able to download Diablo update 2.7.3 from the PTR and begin testing it.
What can you expect in the upcoming Diablo 2.7.3 update, and what can you expect to see in the game itself?
WHEN DOES DIABLO 3 PTR 2.7.3 COME OUT?
On March 10th, 2022, Diablo 3 2.7.3 beta testing will begin. After releasing the initial set of patch notes, Blizzard made it official. As a reminder, the PTR is only available on a certain number of platforms, thus console gamers will be unable to participate. After two weeks of testing, Blizzard has announced that the new game will go live on March 10.
This means that Season 26 of Diablo 3 is unlikely to begin this month and is most likely scheduled for release in April 2022 at the earliest. The Diablo Season 26 Echoing Nightmare theme, Balance tweaks, and adjustments to the Greater Rift will be available to those who participate in the testing session. During the PTR testing period, new rules and buffs will be in effect to assist players.
Increased XP and Blood Shard drops are part of this deal. Djank Mi’em, a special vendor on the PTR, will exchange Blood Shards for class-specific Legendary bags for testing purposes.
It has also requested that the following be tested: We’d like you to focus your testing and input on the set adjustments to the Barbarian, Crusader, and Monk.” We’d like to hear your thoughts on the Echoing Nightmare-themed seasonal content.
This week’s Diablo 3 patch notes can be found here:
Season 26 features the Echoing Nightmare, an optional and rewarding end-game adventure that takes place in the memories of Nephalem, who died in a Greater Rift. It is up to today’s Nephalem to hold their ground until they are either Overwhelmed or beaten to submission.
To enter the Echoing Nightmare, players must get a Petrified Scream by defeating one of the Greater Rift Guardians. The Petrified Scream in Kanai’s Cube can be transmuted into a portal that allows players to face Nephalem’s history.

Season Theme Details:
Seasonal characters can only access Petrified Screams and the Echoing Nightmare.
In a multiplayer game, only one person is needed to transform a Petrified Scream into an Echoing Nightmare.
To enter a multiplayer game, all participants must accept a prompt, much like they would in a boss fight.
The difficulty of Echoing Nightmare increases as the player progresses through it. Destroying creatures swiftly will allow players to move forward more quickly.
Once an Echoing Nightmare has been successfully completed, players will be rewarded with a new legendary gem called Whisper of Atonement as well as EXP, Legendary Items, Blood Shards, and Gems.
It is only possible to enhance ancient legendary objects with the Whisper of Atonement, a legendary gem. In the Echoing Nightmare, it lowers based on player rank.
