Mark Boal’s upcoming drama television series Echo 3 is based on the Israeli television series When Heroes Fly and inspired by Amir Gutfreund’s novel When Heroes Fly. Echo 3 is the second straight-to-series order from Apple and one of Keshet International’s production companies, following Suspicion, a new drama starring Uma Thurman and based on Amit Cohen and Maria Feldman’s award-winning Israeli series False Flag for Keshet Broadcasting. This is the most recent addition, which has received a lot of attention in recent months.

Echo 3 Plot
“Echo 3 is an action-packed thriller set in South America that follows Amber Chesborough (Jessica Ann Collins), a brilliant young scientist who is the emotional heart of a small American family,” according to the official description. When Amber goes missing near the Colombia-Venezuela border, her brother, Bambi (Evans), and her husband, Prince (Huisman), both of whom have extensive military experience and complicated pasts, struggle to find her in a layered personal drama set against the explosive backdrop of a secret war.”

Jessica Ann Collins as Amber Chesborough, Luke Evans as Bambi, Michiel Huisman as Prince, Elizabeth Anweis as Natalie Foster, and Fahim Fazli as AL Qaeda Commander are the series’ main cast members. Furthermore, Boal is the showrunner, with Pablo Trapero directing.
Martina Gusman also appears in Echo 3 as Violetta, a prominent political columnist. James Udom, Maria Del Rosario, Alejandro Furth, Juan Pablo Raba, and special guest star Bradley Whitford star in the series. Echo 3 is also based on Omri Givon’s award-winning series “When Heroes Fly,” which was inspired by Amir Gutfreund’s eponymous novel.
Keshet Studios will produce the series, with executive producers including Boal, Jason Horwitch, Mark Sourian, Pablo Trapero, Omri Givon, Eitan Mansuri, Jonathan Doweck, Avi Nir (Keshet Media Group), Alon Shtruzman (Keshet International), and Karni Ziv (Keshet Broadcasting).
Echo 3 Episodes
It was filmed in Colombia and has both English and Spanish dialogue, according to Apple TV+. The upcoming series will consist of ten episodes, the first three of which will be released on the same day, November 23, 2022, and will then be released on a weekly basis until January 13, 2023.
