Gloom Borne Illness

Gloom Borne Illness

Gloom-Borne Illness is a side quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that may be started at Kakariko Village. This mission entails preparing a meal that can heal someone from the Gloom, which is one of the new threats to Hyrule in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Completing it will earn you several valuable benefits, such as lower prices at the Kakariko Village armor shop.

However, in order to get these benefits, you must first know where to find Hylian Rice and Fresh Milk in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Not to mention knowing which wild green you require for the Gloom-Borne Illness side quest.

How to start Gloom-Borne Illness in Zelda’s Tears of the Kingdom?

To begin the Gloom-Borne Illness side quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, speak with Lasli in Kakariko Village. She may be found sitting around a fire on the eastern edge of Kakariko Village, at roughly 1908, -1003, 0127. She’ll even be there at night, so Lasli won’t be difficult to find.

Lasli will reveal that her grandma became ill from the Gloom that has infested Hyrule while assisting the survey team. Lasli is attempting to heal her by cooking a porridge that can cure Gloom illness.

Here is a video about Gloom Borne’s Illness.

Her recipe calls for Hylian rice, fresh milk, and wild greens, but it’s not working. This is because you need to find a specific bloom – a Sundelion – rather than just any regular wild greens.

Sundelions locations in Zelda’s Tears of the Kingdom

Dandelions are the mysterious, Gloom-healing ingredient required for the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom side quest Gloom-Borne Illness. Sundelions can be discovered in the sky islands that float above Hyrule, although they are not simple to find. To reach the Sokkala Sky Archipelago, we propose searching throughout the Great Sky Island or using the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower in the Akkala Highlands.

Land on the sky island housing the Flux Construct II – make sure you land on the area of the island with a small ruin – and you’ll quickly locate a couple of Sundelions. This location’s coordinates are 3779, 1885, and 0992.

You can also locate three Sundelions near a little stone at the far end of the Forgotten Temple, but after you’ve collected all of the Dragon Tear memories, you might feel a little bad about collecting them. These Sundelions can be found in the Forgotten Temple at -0995, 2755, and -0078.

Where to get Hylian Rice and Fresh Milk in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?

Before you may return to Lasli and finish Gloom-Borne Illness in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must first gather the other two components, Hylian Rice and Fresh Milk. Fortunately, Hylian rice and fresh milk may be purchased for 12 Rupees each in the Hateno Village general store.

They are easily obtained from traveling merchants. For example, Parga can be found walking around Hyrule Field and will sell the components for 12 Rupees. These traveling merchants, however, may not have both Hylian rice and fresh milk, therefore we recommend visiting the Hateno general shop if you don’t already have them.

Return to Lasli and prepare the Hylian rice, fresh milk, and Sundelion in the pot in front of her. This will make a Sunny Veggie Porridge, which you should remember since it will not only replenish three hearts, but also recover three hearts that have been broken by the gloom.

After cooking the dinner, speak with Lasli and give her the porridge. She’ll present the porridge to Nanna, her grandma, and the side mission will be completed! You’ll receive one Energizing Veggie Porridge, and rates at the armor shop in Kakariko Village have been decreased.
