A new toxicology report obtained by TMZ reveals, however, that the 71-year-old actor had “a pharmacy” of medications in his system on July 21 when he was discovered in a Palo Alto hotel room.

On Monday, TMZ reported that he tested positive for many medicines, some of which are frequently used to treat pain. However, the publication said that the toxicology result suggests an attempt was made to resuscitate Heard with Narcan, a medicine designed to reverse the effects of opiate overdoses.

The coroner’s office concluded in August that Heard died of sudden cardiac arrest “due to atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease,” despite the presence of pharmaceuticals in his system.

The coroner also said that Heard’s recent back surgery at Stanford Medical Center “had no role in his death.” “The way of death is natural,” the coroner concluded.
