The Met Gala is one of the most glamorous events in the fashion industry, and this year’s theme paid homage to the late Karl Lagerfeld, the creative director of Chanel. Among the celebrities who walked the carpeted steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art was the stunning Anne Hathaway, who wore a body-hugging white tweed Versace gown.
The strapless dress had seductive cutouts on the torso and a thigh-high leg slit, adding sensuality to the outfit. The Italian fashion house’s signature gold safety pins held the cutouts together. The dress code of the evening paid tribute to Lagerfeld, who favored tweed.
However, Hathaway did not stop at her dress. She complemented her ensemble with matching tweed opera gloves, white platform pumps, and a Bulgari diamond choker, all adding a touch of elegance and sophistication.

What Did Hathaway Say In the Interview?
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hathaway discussed how longtime stylist Erin Walsh helped her reinvent her look. She emphasized her love for taking risks and leaving her comfort zone, evident in her red-carpet fashion choices.
“Erin sees my idiosyncrasies as a strength. Maybe there was initial confusion with me because I was introduced to the world as a teenaged princess, but I never actually connected to things that are ‘sweet’ and ‘pretty’—no shade at all for those wonderful options,” she said. “I love the right risk, as does she. I’ve never had this much fun—and it’s supposed to be fun, right?”
Anne Hathaway once again demonstrated her status as a fashion icon by effortlessly executing a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld in a manner that was uniquely hers.
