Illumination and Universal Pictures are preparing UK audiences for the debut of Sing 2, an animated musical that is a direct sequel to the 2016 release of the first. The key concern on fans’ minds, though, is whether or not there will be a Sing 3 sequel. We’re looking into the prospect of turning Universal’s wellness films into a trilogy of films.
In Sing 2, which was written and directed by Garth Jennings, Buster Moon and his buddies are preparing for new music while also attempting to get rock singer Clay Calloway to play at the event.

Will there be a Sing 3?
The release date for Sing 3 has yet to be revealed by either Illumination or Universal Pictures as of this writing.
Despite this, several of the film’s stars, including Scarlett Johansson, Tori Kelly, and Matthew McConaughey, have shown an interest in reprising their roles in a third film.
The actor, who spoke to CinemaBlend, stated that he would be interested in playing a significant role as Buster Moon in the third film – especially because Sing 2 did not have a song and dance from the main character:
“Maybe Sing 3, but it wasn’t in this one and a lot of people said it and I’m like it’s true, Buster Moon should sing, whistle, diddy, hum, dance, something . Oh that would be great fun. It could be that. Talk to the director, I’m with you. Do you hear that Garth?
The first Sing movie was released in 2016, and the sequel was not revealed until a year later in 2017, which means Sing 3 could be announced the next year in 2023, or the year after that.
If the franchise’s previous release schedule is followed, Sing 3’s projected release year will be 2026 – however fans are hoping for a shorter wait.
Sing 2 – Is it streaming?
Sing 2 will be released in theatres on December 22, 2021, in the United States, and on Friday, January 28, 2022, in the United Kingdom.
In less than three weeks after the film’s release in theatres in the United States, Sing 2 has become accessible for viewing at home via Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu, YouTube, and Microsoft Movies.
Since the epidemic forced the closure of theatres around the world for an extended length of time, new movies these days tend to have a limited period in theatres before being made available on streaming sites like Netflix.
Despite this, movies are now arriving on streaming sites considerably more quickly than they were previously.
