It may not be easy to believe, but the first PlayStation Showcase since April 13, 2021, is almost upon us. Sure, there have been State of Plays and other presentations, but Sony seems to save these for the most important occasions. The last one had God of War: Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, Wolverine, and many other titles.
As a result, PlayStation fans should not miss this show. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about the latest PlayStation Showcase, including when it starts and what to expect.
What Is The Start Time Of Playstation Showcase 2023
PlayStation will host its latest Showcase event installment on Wednesday, May 24, at 1 pm PT/4 pm ET/9 pm BST. This means that on Thursday, May 25, at six o’clock in the morning, Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), if you live in Australia.

Even though we do not have a complete list of the games that will be covered in the show, Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation Showcase will last for “a little bit more than an hour.”
What To Expect From The Playstation Showcase 2023?
Expectations for this upcoming PlayStation Showcase appear to be sky-high because, as previously stated, it will be the first of its kind since April 2021’s God of War: Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, Wolverine, and so much more.
PlayStation hasn’t confirmed which games will be included in the hour-long showcase, but it has confirmed that it will focus on “PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios worldwide.” We can also look forward to “several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators.”
This showcase also comes when PlayStation’s console-exclusive future is unclear following the June release of Final Fantasy 16. We know that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is still on track for this year and that Sony’s first-party studios are working on The Last of Us multiplayer experience and Wolverine, but when will those be released?
Naughty Dog previously stated that we would learn more about The Last of Us multiplayer experience this year, and this could be the ideal venue. We’re also waiting for more information on third-party exclusives like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which has a current release window of Winter 2023/2024, as well as more details on De@th Stranding 2, Silent Hill 2 Remake, and Baldur’s Gate 3.
We could learn more about games like Mortal Kombat 1, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Call of Duty, Alan Wake 2, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, any of the many Star Wars games in development, and more.

High Chances Of Unannounced Games Appearing
Several unannounced games could appear at the PlayStation Showcase, including the long-rumored Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake, a look at the future of the Horizon series in single-player or multiplayer, Ghost of Tsushima 2, The Last of Us Part 3, a new Uncharted game, whatever new game God of War 2018 director Cory Barlog is leading, any of the ten live-service games PlayStation has confirmed are in development, and more.
Many unknowns exist about the future of PS VR2, including how much support it will receive from PlayStation’s first-party studios. PS VR2 debuted with Horizon: Call of the Mountain, but will we see VR experiences from other PlayStation franchises? Many fans of Astro Bot: Rescue Mission and other franchises such as God of War, The Last of Us, Uncharted, and others would welcome a sequel.
However, significant third-party support can be just as valuable as an announcement of the magnitude of Half-Life: Alyx would. We’ve mentioned a lot of games here, and hopefully, the PlayStation Showcase will include many of them and some surprises.
