Alex Claremont-Diaz, son of current US President Ellen Claremont, and Henry Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor, a British royal and third in line for the throne, are essential to the plot of Red, White, and Royal Blue.

Of course, the two are acquainted through international events and state dinners, and they vehemently oppose one another. When their antagonism generates a commotion at Henry’s older brother’s wedding, both the White House and Buckingham Palace force them to pretend to be friends in order to feed the press and quiet the media frenzy surrounding them.
