Tokyo Revengers, the anime adaptation of the manga series of the same name, has just finished broadcasting after 24 episodes on September 19, 2021. Fans were pleasantly delighted by the original premise, which kept them engaged with its storytelling approach. Fans are now looking forward to Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers.
The plot follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a young lad who discovers one day that his middle school ex-girlfriend Hinata Tachibana and her younger brother Naoto had been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. Takemichi was shoved onto train tracks on his way home from work one day. Takemichi travels back in time 12 years at that point. He joins a gang in Tokyo and saves the lives of his friends.
The first season closes on several cliffhangers, which will almost certainly be resolved in Tokyo Revengers Season 2.
The commander of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Manjiro Sano (nicknamed Mikey), reveals that the Gang and Valhalla would unite, with Hanma as the captain of the newly formed sixth division. Chifuyu nominates Takemichi to be the first division captain, and Kisaki is hailed as their savior.
Takemichi returns to the present and is promoted to a high-ranking executive position. Mikey and Mitsuya are absent, and Draken has been executed, thus Kisaki has taken over as a leader in Mikey’s absence. He informs the executives that the Tokyo Manji Gang has been raided by the police and that Takemichi and Chifuyu have been apprehended.
Chifuyu admits that he was the one who leaked information to the police to avenge Baji’s death at the hands of Kisaki. After that, Kisaki prepares to kill Takemichi, whom he regards as his “hero.”
The “Christmas Showdown Arc,” which was unveiled before Christmas 2021 with the subtitle SeiyaKessen-hen, would be featured in Tokyo Revengers Season 2. (Battle on Christmas Eve).
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 will follow Takemichi’s journey after his return to the present, according to the “Christmas Showdown Arc.” After absorbing the Black Dragons, Takemichi realizes that the Tokyo Manji Gang has developed into a large-scale crime organization, and his comrades are continually dying.
When he travels back in time, he discovers that Hakkai Shiba is forced to leave the Tokyo Manji Gang and join the Black Dragons on the orders of his abusive older brother and the current leader of the Black Dragons, Taiju, an event that has an impact on the Tokyo Manji Gang’s merger with the Black Dragons.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 will premiere during Jump Festa 2022, according to the popular anime series created by Ken Wakui. The series is currently in production, but the release date has yet to be announced by the team.
If the producers need nine months to complete the production work, Tokyo Revengers Season 2 might be released in July 2022.
