The long-running NBC series Chicago Fire is about to begin its 11th season. It is the most popular series in the One Chicago franchise and has created an entire brand for the Peacock network to build around. While the previous season saw some significant changes for the show, most notably the departure of original cast member Jesse Spencer, the return of the series means things will have a chance to settle down.
At least, to the extent that the series ever slows down. Chicago Fire is known for packing a lot of drama (and a lot of property destruction) into each episode, thanks to co-creators Derek Haas and Andrea Newman. What can fans look forward to in Season 11? Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming season’s storylines, cast, release date, and where Chi-Hards can watch the latest episodes online.

What is Chicago Fire Season 11’s Story?
Surprisingly, Chicago Fire’s final season did not end on another life-threatening cliffhanger. Instead, the Season 10 finale focused on Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide’s wedding. Although Gabriela Dawson did not attend the wedding, her ex-husband Matthew Casey did and served as Severide’s best man, bringing the Stellaride relationship drama to an end. However, the lack of immediate danger means that anything is possible heading into Season 11. Fans will undoubtedly see Stella and Severide’s married life, but there will also be Violet Mikami dealing with her love life, as well as more rescues and fires for Firehouse 51 to deal with.
Chicago Fire Season 11 Release Date
Chicago Wednesdays have been a huge success for NBC, so it’s no surprise that the network will continue to air them in 2022. Season 11 of Chicago Fire will premiere on Wednesday, September 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (after Chicago Med and before Chicago P.D.) Throughout the season, all three shows will air as part of a three-hour block of One Chicago content. However, the network has yet to announce whether this will include one of the crossover events for which the franchise has become famous – and which fellow Dick Wolf franchise Law & Order is about to imitate.
Who is in the Chicago Fire Season 11 Cast?
After the shocking departure of Jesse Spencer midway through Season 10, the Chicago Fire cast remains largely unchanged in Season 11. Taylor Kinney and Miranda Rae Mayo will continue to play Stella and Severide, respectively, in the series. Following unsubstantiated rumors of her departure, Kara Killmer has returned as paramedic Sylvie Brett. The series also stars Eamonn Walker (Wallace Boden), Lifetime movie veteran David Eigenberg (Christopher Herrmann), Christian Stolte (Randy “Mouch” McHolland), Joe Minoso (Joe Cruz), Alberto Rosende (Blake Gallo), and Daniel Kyri as Brett’s partner Violet (Darren Ritter).
Where to Watch Chicago Fire Season 11
For years, fans have been wondering how to watch Chicago Fire online, as the show’s streaming rights have changed hands. However, now that NBC has launched its own streaming service, there is a definitive answer. Peacock will be the sole streaming destination for Chicago Fire Season 11, with episodes available the day after they air (Thursdays). The streamer hasn’t specified a time, so new episodes may not be available right away. While viewers wait, Peacock has all of Seasons 1-10 available for viewing. NBC will almost certainly air some repeats on broadcast television throughout the season.
