He spent his freshman and sophomore years at Central Dauphin High School before transferring to Harrisburg High School, where he started at defensive end and running back. He had 121 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, and 18.5 sacks as a freshman. He had 69 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and 13.5 sacks as a junior.
