According to reports, Liverpool has been unable to reach an agreement with forwarding Mohamed Salah on an extension of his current contract.
Despite the fact that Salah still prefers to remain at Anfield, the club’s most recent offer has been rejected, and no more discussions have taken place since December.
During a press conference on Friday, Jürgen Klopp made a remark that prompted Abbas to tweet seven laughing emojis.
“I believe Mo obviously expects this club to be ambitious and we are,” the manager had stated. Mo has the final say. The club did its best. All is well. From my perspective, everything is fine. We’ve had no sign-ups or rejections, so we’re just going to have to wait. “It’s alright, there’s no need to hurry.”
Mohamed Salah does not think Liverpool’s offer for him in December is good enough. If a deal cannot be reached by the end of his contract in 2023, Liverpool will have to decide whether to sell him or keep him in the hopes of securing a deal and risk losing him for nothing.
In January, Salah insisted he wasn’t asking for “crazy stuff” since he was happy at Liverpool and Klopp. “It’s in their hands,” he remarked. My desires are well-known to them.”
If he leaves Liverpool, the Egyptian international, who will be 30 in June, would prefer to remain in the Premier League.
