WOTAKOI: LOVE IS HARD FOR OTAKU SEASON 2: IS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED?

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku was a Romantic Comedy manga series written and illustrated by Fujita that was first published in Japan. The series, which is also known in Japanese as Wotaku ni koi Wa Muzukashii, is a romantic or comedic anime series. It first appeared on our screens in 2014 and hasn’t stopped stealing our hearts since. The release date for the tenth volume has already been announced for 2021. The anime adaptation, which lasted 11 episodes, only covered the first four books of the web manga series.

Wotakoi: no Cheats for Love” was an eleven-part anime series that aired on Japanese television in spring 2018. The show was directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike, who also worked as a scriptwriter at A-1 Pictures (the company behind “Sword Art Online: Progressive Movie 86 Anime”). The characters were designed by Takahiro Yasuda, while the music was composed by Akimitsu Honma. On Amazon Prime Video, you may watch all of the episodes with subtitles whenever you want.

The story revolves around a bunch of otaku who work at an office. Narumi enjoys sketching and reading yaoi doujinshi, which are Japanese comic books. Narumi’s partner, Hirotaka, is an ardent gamer, and their relationship allows her to be herself without the worry of being judged or disapproved of. Hanako is a well-known cosplayer who is best recognized for portraying male characters, whereas Kamakura, her high school sweetheart, enjoys reading manga and watching anime whenever he has spare time. Hirotaka has a younger brother named Hirotaka. Nao, who is clueless about pop culture and is hopelessly inadequate at gaming, becomes more engrossed in the hobby after becoming friends with the quiet Kou.

Is Renewed or Canceled?

The series has not yet been renewed for a second season by A-1 Pictures, Amazon, or any other affiliated organization. Anime series Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku was one of the most popular in 2018, and the number of viewers eagerly awaiting season two has increased significantly as a result of the show’s recent debut on Amazon Videos. It can take years for productions to be revived. Anime season approval may be delayed for a variety of reasons including financial calculations and insufficient source material. Approximately 10 million copies have been published both physically and digitally, according to Crunchyroll, as of August 2020. If a second season of the show is announced, it will not come as a surprise to anyone. As a result of this pandemic and the length of time it takes to produce anime, we may have to wait another year or two before seeing one on the big screen.

Season 2 has not been formally confirmed by A-1 Pictures, and it is unclear whether or not a second season will be produced at all. As the series has tended to focus on the six main characters rather than introducing new individuals into the otaku community, it is unlikely that any new characters will be introduced to the cast. We can anticipate the return of the voice actors from the previous season to contribute their talents once more to the show.

Arsia Date (Yui Yumekawa in “Idol Time PriPara”) will voice Narumi Momose, Kent Ito (who made a brief cameo as a police officer in the extended version of “Detective Conan” episode 1) will voice Hirokata Nifuji, Miyuki Sawashiro (“Kurapika in “Hunter x Hunter”) will voice Hanako Koyanagi, Tomokazu Sugit

In case you’re wondering if there will be an English dub of “Wotakoi” in the future, there hasn’t been any word on that front as of yet. Because Amazon has exclusive distribution rights in the United States, it would be up to them to decide whether or not this will take place.

What does Will happen in Wotakoi Season 2?

According to all indications, a second season will pick up precisely where the first one left off. When learning that Kou is a girl in one of the OVAs, Nao and Kou can reconcile, and the two even go on a date that leaves them pondering on their relationship after they realize what they have discovered.

Given that Season One adapted the manga’s first four volumes, and given that Season Two is expected to contain the same number of episodes and ova as Season One, it’s probable that volumes five through eight will be adapted as well. This means that fans will be treated to a hot springs episode, which will feature Narumi’s maiden try at cosplay. The lovely moment when Kabakura proposes to Hanako after she misplaces her most beloved possession: the matching necklace he gave her while they were in high school, are among the highlights of the film. There will almost certainly be plenty of nerdiness, plenty of misunderstandings, and most importantly, plenty of love.

Narumi is an office worker who also happens to be a hidden Yaoi admirer. When she decides to change her employment, she runs into Hirotaka, a childhood buddy who, despite his beautiful looks, is a video game nerd. They decide to start dating, but because they are both geeks, it is difficult for them to have a committed relationship with one another.
