Cristian Romero, popularly known as Cuti Romero, is an Argentine professional footballer. He is a center-back for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur as well as the Argentina national team. Romero, who was born on April 27, 1998, in Córdoba, Argentina, is known for his aggressive style of play, superb ball skills, and supremacy in aerial duels.
He began his senior career with Belgrano in Argentina in 2016, before moving to Genoa in 2018. He was signed by Juventus after successful periods with Genoa and Atalanta. He was later loaned to Tottenham Hotspur, where he made an immediate impression, earning him a permanent contract in 2022.

Romero went to Italy in 2018 after his time with Belgrano, joining Serie A team Genoa. He showed off his defensive talents there, making 27 games in his first season and 30 in his second.
