Though the billion-dollar Fast and Furious franchise was expected to conclude with its tenth chapter, Fast X, in 2023, series star and producer Vin Diesel confirmed in April 2021 that the series capper would be split into two parts, explaining: “There’s so much ground to cover and so many places in so many locations that we have to visit.”

The Release Date Of Fast And Furious 11
Vin Diesel announced in April 2023 at CinemaCon that the twelfth Fast and Furious film will be released in 2025, though an exact release date has not yet been determined.

Louis Leterrier, who directed Fast X after Justin Lin left due to creative differences, will return for the next installment, with Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey) and Oren Uziel (The Lost City) hired to pen the script.
Who Will Return In Fast And Furious 11?

Jason Momoa as the deranged villain Dante Reyes, who survived the events of Fast X, and Alan Ritchson as his criminal partner Aimes are also set to return for the next chapter.
Similarly, Helen Mirren will return as “Queenie” Shaw alongside her son Deckard (though it’s unclear whether Luke Evans will return as Deckard’s brother Owen Shaw or if Vanessa Kirby will reprise her Hobbs & Shaw role as their sister Hattie).
Leo Abelo Perry is another likely returnee as Dom’s son Brian “Little B” Marcos. At the same time, we’re sure to see more of Gal Gadot as the resurrected Gisele Yashar and Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs after their surprise reappearances in the final scene of Fast X and the Fast X post-credits scene, respectively (more on those two below).
Fast And Furious 11 Plot
Fast 11—what will happen? The film must resolve the Fast X ending’s many plot threads. After Dante trapped Dom and Little B and activated explosive charges, a dam collapsed could k!ll them. Hobbs’ return—how? Given Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson’s strained relationship, Hobbs may reunite with Deckard Shaw instead of Dom. Fans will hope the Diesel/Johnson rift has healed enough to reunite the Fast franchise titans on screen after providing Roman, Tej, Ramsey, and Han with tech and artillery to help Dom.
Deckard Shaw discovered that Dante was targeting him and his mother, Queenie. Shaw told the Fast family he would “dig some graves” and leave, but where is he going, and will he rejoin our heroes? Aimes rocketed Roman, Tej, Ramsey, and Han’s plane, k!ll!ng them. They survived, but how is unclear…
Fast & Furious 11 will also have to explain how Gisele is alive after falling from a Range Rover at high speed in Fast & Furious 6. She’s unharmed—how? Why faked her de@th? She’s where? How did she become a submarine captain in Antarctica, where Letty and Cypher meet her after escaping an Agency black site?
Then there’s the small matter of defeating Dante Reyes, a supervillain with seemingly unlimited resources, now backed up by Aimes, the corrupt Agency head, and providing a satisfying ending for fans who have followed this story for over two decades if this is the final Fast movie.

Is Fast And Furious 11 The Final Installment?
Though the messaging for the longest time was that Fast 11 – or Fast X: Part 2 – would be the final installment in the series, Vin Diesel claimed during the premiere of Fast X in Rome that Universal had requested two more movies to tie off the series, bringing the total number of films in the main series to 12.
However, in a subsequent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Louis Leterrier, director of Fast X and Fast 11, refused to speculate on how much gas the Fast saga has left in the tank.
“Let’s see what happens,” he stated. “Going back to every other franchise in the world — except for Lord of the Rings, where they had the books and knew when they needed to stop — you don’t work on the next movie. “You can have high hopes for what’s to come, but you should work and give your best to the one movie that you’re working on. So I will give my best to Part 11 or Part B, and we shall see what happens.”

Given that the film is still in the early stages of pre-production, no Fast and Furious 11 trailer is currently available.
