The Search For James Jaronczyk Missing Boater Li Continues. Despite The Recovery Of His Sunglasses

A community search party will look for a man who fell off his boat on Sunday and has been missing since. James Jaronczyk, 28, of Massapequa, was alone on a 22-foot Progression speedboat on the Great South Bay at approximately 4:33 p.m. when he fell into the water, according to police.

Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., a family member told Patch the group would meet in the parking lot of the Babylon Pool. Yesterday, the missing boater’s sunglasses were recovered, according to Horn.

The action will be Jaronczyk’s “big push to search the waters.” Horn stated that anyone with a boat, jet ski, kayak, scuba equipment, a drone, or willing to walk the coastlines is welcome to join the effort. According to the Suffolk County Police Department, the dive team officers have been sent into the Great South Bay. According to a representative who spoke with Patch, the search for Jaronczyk was initiated by the Coast Guard around Sunday afternoon and continued until approximately 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
