American actor Jim Belushi is facing the end of his marriage — again. The comedian became a celebrity thanks to his work on “Saturday Night Live” and went on to star in countless TV shows and movies throughout the ’80s and ’90s, per his IMDb credits.
But just because Belushi was a notable name in past decades does not mean his career has slowed; the actor has worked steadily for more than four decades, which is no small feat. According to the Daily Mail, fans also know Belushi as the brother of the late actor John Belushi.
While Jim has been fortunate in his career, he has not been so lucky in his relationships. Belushi has been married three times; his first marriage was to Sandra Davenport from 1980 to 1988, and together they share a son, Robert Belushi, per the Daily Mail.
Then, from 1990 to 1992, he was married to Marjorie Bransfield. Jim may have thought that marrying Jennifer Sloan for the third time would be the charm, but that also appears to be over. Here’s the story about Jim Belushi Divorce.

Jennifer Sloan And Jim Belushi Are Divorcing Again.
Jim Belushi and Jennifer Sloan have decided to call it quits. According to the Daily Mail, the couple had been married for 23 years, having married in 1998. they have a daughter named Jamison and a son named Jared.
According to TMZ, Belushi filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court on August 6. Interestingly, this is the couple’s second divorce filing. Sloan filed for divorce in March 2018, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
However, the two were able to work things out after their first attempt at divorce, and Belushi signed to have the divorce filed dismissed. Three years later, it appears that this couple is once again on the outs.
According to the Daily Mail, when Sloan and Belushi filed for divorce for the first time, they had a custody plan in place for their son, Jared, who was still a minor at the time. However, in the time between filings, their son has grown into an adult, making any legal action against their children unnecessary.
Why Does Jim Want To File Divorce For A Second Time?
While neither Jim Belushi nor Jennifer Sloan has spoken publicly about their divorce, the fact that they live in different states is worth noting. According to his website, Belushi operates a marijuana farm in Eagle Point, Oregon.
While growing marijuana may seem like an unusual venture for a Hollywood star, Belushi sees it as a spiritual one, thanks to the land itself. “rofound healing occurs here, and Bald Eagles breed on the land,” he wrote on his website.
“Every time I cultivate the land, I am drawn deeper and deeper into the medicine and the joy of this work,” Belushi wrote later. This is clearly a significant project for the actor.
When The Hollywood Reporter spoke with him in August 2020, it became clear that Sloan was not a part of his life in Oregon. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where she owns a children’s boutique. Belushi told the outlet about his marriage when asked about it “I’m not going there. We’re still together as of right now.”
If we fast forward a year, it might make more sense to learn that they’ve filed for divorce.

Is Jim Belushi A Difficult Person To Be With?
Jim Belushi and Jennifer Sloan were kept apart by more than just physical distance. His varied interests also kept him on the road and away from his wife in California.
Belushi spends “two weeks of every month on” his farm in Oregon, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and when he’s not there, he travels with “side projects like The Blues Brothers or Board of Comedy, his improv group.” While he clearly keeps himself busy, Belushi has also become the brunt of many unflattering jokes.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Twitter has a field day with Belushi, using him as the personification of disappointment and unlikability. “Tap water is the Jim Belushi of drinks,” according to the Tribune.
While it can’t be easy, Belushi does have a bit of a reputation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Belushi was known on the set of the sitcom “According to Jim” for his “control-freak behaviour.” He did tell the outlet that he apologised to everyone on the sitcom, but his actions earned him a bad reputation.
