Teen Beach Movie Cast: Find Out Where Ross Butler, Maia Mitchell, and the Rest of the Cast of “Teen Beach Movie” is Now! It’s hard to believe, but Disney Channel’s Teen Beach Movie debuted in July 2013. Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell, Grace Phipps, Chrissie Fit, John DeLuca, Garrett Clayton, and others starred in the critically acclaimed musical film. The plot revolves around two surfers who, for some reason, found themselves in a film version of a beach party, complete with singing and dancing rivals vying for control of the party’s hangout. Of course, the first film spawned a sequel that’s just as good and with even more memorable soundtracks.
Garrett (who played Tanner) gushed about working with the ensemble in an April 2020 YouTube video by Kim Possible actress Christy Carlson Romano, recalling his time on set. Working with Ross, he said, was “very simple.”
He is indeed a good human being. The actor reflected on how pleasant their collaborations had always been. When waiting for the next shot, “we would just like sit and hang out,” but “you know, most of the time you would go and hang out in your trailer alone or sleep because you’re fatigued or something.”
Garrett also revealed several mysteries from the set of the Teen Beach Movie. He is mainly responsible for creating the “Tanner Cove” stage. A custom set was built out of “respect” for the character after the ex-Disney actor detailed his transformation of the part.
Years after the film’s release, J-14 had an exclusive interview with Britt Stewart, who had performed as a backup dancer. The dancer went on to say how amazed everyone was that they were filming in Puerto Rico for Teen Beach Movie. That never once felt like work to me. Just having everyone there made for an incredible amount of fun. Feeling-wise, it was a lot like High School Musical. We’ve managed to keep our friendships going strong. While in Puerto Rico, we established a strong foundation for our family.
Britt claimed she would be “100 percent” down to dance in more Teen Beach Movie sequences, even though no revival is currently in the works. Let’s hope everyone gets together soon! Ross Lynch Now
Ross’s debut in Teen Beach Movie was merely the beginning. Besides his roles as Austin Moon on Austin & Ally and Harvey Kinkle on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, he has also been seen in the films Status Update and My Friend Dahmer. Not only that. The former Disney star has also put out a lot of songs with his band, R5, over the years. Indeed, he and his siblings released seven albums under the moniker The Driver Age until rebranding themselves in 2018. Maia Mitchell Played McKenzie
After starring in Teen Beach Movie, Maia has not slowed down at all. She then starred in films like Good Trouble, The Lion Guard, The Fosters, The Last Summer (with KJ Apa! ), and Hot Summer Nights.
In March 2022, she departed her job at Good Trouble. Us Weekly reported that she had broken up with longtime boyfriend Rudy Mancuso a month later.
Garrett Clayton Now
A role in The Fosters was found for Garrett, just as it had been for Maia. After that, he starred in films including King Cobra, Elephant Kingdom, Don’t Hang Up, Welcome to Willits, Hairspray Live!, Reach, Between Worlds, The Last Breakfast Club, Peel, and many others. The list continues on and on, as he is currently involved in producing two new films.
