Over 20 officers, forensic experts, and a cadaver dog are participating in the evidence-gathering operation, while vehicles and phone data are being examined at Carrigtwohill Garda Station.

Who is Richard Satchwell?

Richard Satchwell is Tina Satchwell’s spouse, who went missing in 2017. He appeared to be in his 50s, and their relationship began when Tina was 19 years old. The pair married in the early 1990s and moved to Ireland, where they spent the majority of their married life in Fermoy, County Cork.

They sold their Fermoy home and moved to Youghal, County Cork, some 18 months before Tina vanished. Tina had been missing for 25 years before she vanished.

Tina was reported missing four days after Richard last saw her at their Youghal home. He assumed she had gone to attend to personal things and would return soon. He also mentioned that some of Tina’s items and a large sum of money had been stolen from their home.

Richard was a lorry driver at the time, and he and his wife shared their home with two dogs and two parrots. As the case progressed and Tina’s abduction was elevated to murder, Richard found himself at the heart of this ongoing investigation, with many unresolved concerns about her absence.
