“Archer” fans will be treated to another trip into the danger zone. The third season of Adam Reed’s animated spy comedy “Archer” has been officially renewed by FX Networks, according to Deadline. We learn about the world’s greatest secret agent, Sterling Archer, who also happens to be cynical, unprofessional, and possibly even an alcoholic. Archer currently works for the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS), which is headed by his sarcastic mother, Malory, from whom he most likely inherited his alcoholism and dependence on alcohol. Everywhere Archer and his hapless team of spies go, they’re met with hilarious mishaps and gaffes as they attempt to carry out their nefarious plans.
‘Archer’ has become a fan favorite among television viewers since its 2009 debut and has been included on lists of the greatest cartoons ever made by publications such as TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly.
When Reed announced in 2016 that he would be ending “Archer” after Season 10, many fans were shocked. For more information, go to TV Line. Fortunately, as Variety reported, this was not the case due to an increase in viewership from Season 10 to 11, and viewers can expect more sexual innuendos and one-liners in Season 13 of “Archer.”

Archer Renewed for Season 13
This season of Archer has been renewed for a fourth time, this time for a season in 2022. WASHINGTON POST-INDEPENDENT (LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, September 28, 2021) FX’s President of Original Programming, Nick Grad, announced today that Emmy-winning animated comedy Archer will return for a 13th season on the FXX channel of the network. The new eight-episode season will premiere on FXX and be available to stream the following day on FX on Hulu and will be available in 2022, as the current 12th season.
Archer Season 13 Release Date
No release date has yet been set for Season 13 of “Archer,” but it is expected to premiere shortly. An eight-episode season is expected to premiere on FXX sometime in 2022 according to Deadline’s report. Other than that, the article doesn’t give us much information, but we can make an educated guess based on the previous seasons of the show.
When “Archer” Season 12 came to an end in October, we can expect Season 13 to premiere sometime between September and November of 2022, depending on when Season 12 ended. Season 11’s premiere was delayed for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, a rare exception to this release schedule. Archer Season 13 will hopefully go ahead without major setbacks due to this pandemic, and we will be able to enjoy the animated spy comedy on our screens as soon as possible.

Archer Season 13 Cast
Archer fans can expect the majority of their favorite characters from season to season to return in some form or another for the upcoming 13th season. The cast is likely to include Archer’s ex-girlfriend Lana (Aisha Taylor), Cyril (Chris Parnell), the zany office assistant Cheryl (Judy Greer), and Ray (Judy Greer), an openly gay agent (Adam Reed). Lucky Yates, the actor who plays the psychotic Dr. Krieger, and Amber Nash, the actress who plays the hilarious Pam, are both expected to return for Season 13.
Malory Archer, who has been voiced by Jessica Walter since Season 1, will not be returning in Season 13 due to scheduling conflicts. When she unexpectedly died in March 2021, FX was able to incorporate her voice into Season 12 of the show, which was greatly appreciated by fans. Season 12 ended with Walter’s character Malory (played by her real-life husband Ron Leibman) relaxing on a beach with her husband Ron, who was also seen hand in hand with her at the end of the episode.
In addition to the main cast, “Archer” is known for having some of the best guest voice actors on television, and this season is no exception.

Archer Season 13 Plot
As a whole, “Archer” has proven to be a little unpredictable, so it’s hard to predict what Season 13 will bring. As a former top-secret agent, Archer first went into business for himself as a private investigator before switching careers. Archer’s comatic dreams span three seasons, taking us from a 1920s crime scene in Los Angeles to a spaceship in outer space, among other locales. There is no way to know exactly what will happen in the upcoming season of “Archer” because nothing is ever certain in that world.
In light of the show’s return to its spy comedy roots in Seasons 11 and 12, it’s probably safe to say that the show has come to a close with its out-of-this-world storylines. They were vying for contracts to restore ISIS to its former glory when we last saw Archer and his gang competing with the International Intelligence Agency (IIA) for espionage contracts. In the season’s final episode, it is revealed that Malory has passed the “leadership” torch to Archer and that ISIS has been sold to IIA.
ISIS reestablishment is Archer’s best bet, as it’s impossible to imagine Archer and his coworkers working for IIA under any circumstances. Season 13 of “Archer” is set to premiere in 2022, so fans will have to wait until then to find out what happens with the gang in all of their new misadventures.
