WHEN DID SHANE WARNE RETIRE?
In January 1992, Shane Warne became Australia’s 350th Test cricketer, and his inclusion in the team coincided with the emergence of the Golden Generation.
The Australian cricket team dominated the sport, winning three straight World Cups and 16 straight Tests from October 1999 to February 2001. They had no flaws.
Shane Warne announced his retirement from Test cricket and international cricket on New Year’s Day against England at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
In the final match of the 2006/07 Ashes series, Australia reclaimed the Urn by beating an underwhelming England team by five wickets in Perth.
Andrew Strauss was the victim of Warne’s 700th career test wicket in the fourth match at the MCG.
He dismissed Monty Panesar at the SCG for his 1,000th career Australian wicket.
Andrew Flintoff, the England captain, was Warne’s penultimate victim for Australia in his 708th and overall 1,001st Test wicket.

WARNE PLAYED ON IN T20
The career of Shane Warne did not end as he hung up Baggy Green #350.
As a result, he continued to play in T20 franchise cricket in India’s IPL and Australia’s Big Bash.
His IPL career began with the Rajasthan Royals in 2008 and ended with the Melbourne Stars in 2011.
Shane Warne withdrew from all forms of cricket at the end of 2013.
