The pop artist ran out of petrol on a busy Los Angeles road late Tuesday night. She and her car were taken to safety after police were summoned.
TMZ reports that as Britney was driving her Mercedes on the 101 Freeway, the car suddenly broke down and was left in the middle of the road. When police arrived, they didn’t find the pop diva in her automobile, but rather in the backseat of another motorist’s car.
Officers from the Highway Patrol were able to halt traffic and push the vehicle out of harm’s way. According to TMZ, a cop drove the car off to the side of the road while Brit was a passenger.
Police stayed with Britney until her husband, Sam Asghari, came to pick her up after they had stopped impeding traffic.
