Why Nene Leakes Has ‘no Feelings’ About Lawsuit From Her Boyfriend!

NeNe Leakes says she doesn’t care about a lawsuit accusing her of kidnapping a woman’s spouse because she “minds her own business.”

In an interview with ET’s Rachel Smith, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum noted that any legal problems between her boyfriend, Nyonisela J. Sioh, and Malomine Tehmeh-Sioh, should be theirs and theirs alone.

“Do you agree that it’s their problem and not mine?” Leakes commented. “I’ve been dragged into something I have no business being a part of. They’re embroiled in their legal wranglings. Simply put, I have no business being involved in this. As a result, I don’t have any thoughts or sentiments about it at all. Honestly, I think [Nyonisela] needs to address it on his own.”

A lawsuit was filed earlier this month against Leakes for allegedly threatening to kidnap Tehmeh-Sigh. According to the court docs, Sioh and Tehmeh-Sioh, who tied the knot in 2016 and shared an 11-year-old son, split on or about Dec. 17. They made Instagram official later that month, on December 28, with Leakes uploading photos and videos from their beach holiday. So was first linked to Leakes in December.

Before Leakes’ “wrongful intervention and conduct,” according to Tehmeh-suit, Sioh’s the couple had a real happy married connection in which “some degree of love, affection, society, companionship, comfort, friendliness, and favorable mental attitude prevailed.”

She claims that Leakes and Sioh had an “ongoing passionate, unrestricted, and adulterous affair” without her “knowledge or consent,” according to her lawsuit. On the other hand, she said that Leakes “continue[s] to publicly publish berating, tactless and insensitive” images of herself with her husband, generating “additional pain and humiliation” for her.

Smiling and mocking claims that she is “a husband-stealer,” the reality TV star responded to the accusations on Instagram. She said, ” “There’s no one stealing husbands around here… No one likes to take on someone else’s issues.”

And that’s not the only lawsuit in Leakes’ orbit. Additionally, she filed a lawsuit against the RHOA firms, claiming that they fostered and allowed a hostile and discriminatory workplace.

ET has learned that the claim has been filed in federal court in Atlanta and names as defendants NBC Universal, Bravo, True Entertainment, and Truly Original production firms, their executives, and Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen.

According to the lawsuit, “NBC and Comcast, its parent company, promote the lack of diversity in the sector. Kim Zolciak-attorney, Biermann’s David DeRubertis, alleged that Leakes was the victim of systemic racism from her co-star and that Cohen and other executives were complicit in such behavior. ET has contacted Cohen, Bravo, NBC, and Zolciak-Biermann for a response. She claims she’s received no response from Cohen since she filed her case in April. It’s been a while since she’s heard from anyone, but she’s doing okay since she has a robust support system.

She’ll be living with seven other celebs and attending Texas Southern University for the duration of the BET+ reality series College Hill: Celebrity Edition, which is now airing on BET+. Aside from the aforementioned, the cast includes Stacey Dash, Ray J, Lamar Odom, Big Freedia, Dreamdoll, India Love, and Slim Thug. The eight-episode series will premiere on BET+ on June 27. Don’t expect Leakes, who attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta for two years, to return to school full time, even if a specific subject fascinates her.

“Honestly, if I were to return, I’d go back and study law,” she remarked. “That law piqued my curiosity in a big way. As a result, I was apprehensive about taking the legal studies course. The first thing I thought was, “Oh my god.” I couldn’t sleep since I was up so late reading the law book. Because it was so dense, I decided to read for only 10 minutes at a time and then take a three-hour rest. Reading for 10 minutes more before taking an 18-hour vacation from the task at hand. It was surreal, but once I was in the class, taught by a judge who did an excellent job of explaining the material, I discovered that law was something I was interested in learning more about.”

Gregg Leakes, Leakes’ late husband, died in September 2021 after a fight with colon cancer, and she still misses him. He was 66 years old at the time. On the eve of Father’s Day, she took to Instagram to pay tribute to him.

“You know, I’m still hurting,” Leakes remarked. “I have highs and lows, you know.” “People could assume you’re not mourning because you’ve moved on. For 25 years, this person was a part of my life. I’m reminded of him when I see stuff. ‘You know, just always talk about it if you see it.’ That was the advice of a woman who had recently lost her husband. You must not store anything.’ So my friends and family are fine with me mentioning Gregg or discussing Gregg. The fact that he’s been around for so long means that he’s well-known to many people. I’ve never had a close friend or family member die so near to me. Those were difficult times.”
