The official Japanese Twitter account for Dragon Ball: The Breakers provided a friendly reminder of the game’s upcoming worldwide release date, as well as a tease of a fan-favorite villain arriving in Season 2. Dragon Ball: The Breakers is currently available in Japan, with a global release date of October 14th. While details on this newest addition to the game and when Season 2 will be released are currently scarce, the reveal may provide fans of the series with some excitement for what’s to come.
Breakers is an asymmetric multiplayer survival game that pits one super-powered Dragon Ball universe villain against seven ordinary citizens with a power level of 5. In Dragon Ball: The Breakers, the goal for survivors is to survive long enough to escape, whereas the villain’s only goal is to eliminate them. Cell, Buu, and Frieza are among the current bad guys, each with their own set of abilities that allow them to gain power over the course of a match. Killing survivors isn’t the only way to win; villains can also destroy specific areas of the map to reduce the possibility of escape. This strategy appears to be ideal for the latest season 2 villain revealed.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers Gameplay
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a multiplayer action game with an asymmetrical gameplay. It’s similar to Dead By Daylight in that players enjoy different gameplay depending on their role. In this game, players can choose between being civilians or Raiders. Raiders are the titular rivals and villains that many Dragon Ball fans are familiar with. Cell, Frieza, and Buu are among those included. Civilians, on the other hand, refer to, well, civilians, people with no or little power. The game is asymmetrical due to the disparity in power levels.
The Civilians’ goal is to survive and flee. Each match has seven survivors. They must rely on their wits to survive because they lack any real power. Each of the playable Civilians has their own set of gadgets and abilities that they can use to help them survive. This includes weapons such as guns and traps.
Civilians are easily killed when attacked by Raiders, so they must do everything they can to flee their powerful pursuers. Civilians are expected to assist one another in surviving. After all, if a Civilian is knocked down twice in a row, they are out.
Raiders, on the other hand, go after Civilians. They are powerful beings with far greater power than the Civilians, so they must hunt them down. The Raider’s abilities are very similar to what the villains do in the original series. Buu, for example, can unleash powerful winds that can knock survivors back and injure them. Raiders must use their abilities to defeat all seven Civilians and win the match.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers story
The story follows Civilians, trapped with some of Dragon Ball’s most notorious villains. They must help each other if they want to survive, as these villains are coming for them. The game also takes place in the same universe as the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games.
