AFC Richmond went to Amsterdam to play a “friendly” match against the Dutch, and Ted Lasso became a citizen of another country. Even though the Greyhounds lost the game and the stakes were low, owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), who may have solved her psychic puzzle in Season 3, may have won.
Fans will remember that after meeting with her mother’s psychic, Rebecca was told that she would find love and have a child, and that it would involve a green matchbook, being wet, and being upside down but safe. Well, it looks like some of these things happened when she met a Dutch man while she was walking around Amsterdam.
Rebecca Didn’t Want To Spend Much Time
The “Stranger” played by Matteo van der Grijn called out to her from his raft and told her she was beautiful, but he never told her his name. But the moment took her attention away from the bikes coming toward her, and she fell off the bridge and into the canals. Rebecca lost her phone while swimming to the stranger when she came to the surface, but she was able to connect with him. He let her use his home to take a shower and dry her clothes.
At first, Rebecca didn’t want to spend much time with this man, but as time went on, she became more comfortable and liked dinner, drinks, and conversation with him. They even danced and sang together. Rebecca was looking around his house when she found a little girl’s room and found out that his ex-girlfriend had left him.
When this man saw that Rebecca had cut her foot when she fell into the canal, he used the green box from his first aid kit to help her. This stranger checked a lot of boxes, like being able to make Rebecca a mother to a child he already has and saving her from a scary situation where she got wet with the help of something green.
Early hints suggested that this future love could be Sam (Toheeb Jimoh), but other fans have been hoping that the boss will end up with coach Lasso (Jason Sudeikis). Could she end up with this stranger? You could feel their energy through the screen, and Rebecca’s carefree attitude was something we haven’t seen much of since the show started.
