The final season of The Flash will air on February 8, 2023. Unlike previous seasons, which had over 20 episodes, this season will only have 13. There is a lot of excitement and enthusiasm among Flash fans because this season will mark the end of the Arrowverse continuity, which began with Arrow in 2012.
The Flash is the final show in the Arrowverse continuity to end, following the finales of Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman in 2020, 2021, and 2022, respectively. According to showrunner and executive producer Eric Wallace, the season will be divided into two “graphic novel” storylines, known as the eighth and ninth graphic novels. This “graphic novel” numbering was established in the show’s previous three seasons. However, one question remains in the minds of The Flash fans: Will there be The Flash Season 10? You’ll find the answer in this post.

Will There Be The Flash Season 10?
To answer the question of whether or not Season 10 will be produced, the answer is no. The CW has confirmed that The Flash’s ninth season will be its final. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Eric Wallace said of the final season:
“We had to rewrite it three different times, because when it was a series finale, we had to have a much more deep conversation with Barry and Iris, dealing with the fact that they were going to have kids soon, It was a little bit s*xier, and it was a lot more romantic of a scene. I really liked it.”
Finally, I’d like to thank the cast, crew, writers, and producers for their contributions to the show:
“There would have been an additional scene with all of Team Flash all getting their goodbyes on, but when we found out we had another season to play with, that meant, ‘Ooh, I can tease next year’s Big Bad? All right, let’s do that!’ So that final scene changed radically, and then the ‘Goodbye to Team Flash’ group party scene got deleted entirely.”
Wallace and the other writers rewrote the season 8 finale to set up the ninth and final season. The show’s two main leads, Grant Gustin and Candice Patton, who play Barry Allen (Flash), and his wife, Iris West, respectively, agreed to a new deal with the CW, which resulted in the renewal of the ninth and final season.
The Flash Team posted on their official Twitter handle, which they told said season 9 to be the final season of the series. You can see the Tweet below.

The final episode of the show’s eighth season teased the appearance of iconic Flash comics villain Cobalt Blue, whom fans have been hoping to see on the show since it first aired in 2014. The showrunners have now confirmed that Cobalt Blue will be the main antagonist of the final season. Cobalt Blue will be a reincarnation of Eddie Thawne, a Central City cop and Iris’ ex-boyfriend who died in the first season. The Cancelled Season 10 Story Plans Of The Flash
According to The Flash’s showrunner, three major events were planned to conclude the superhero series. The Flash paying off the Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths Justice League tease would have given the franchise more closure, and it’s odd that the most well-thought-out DC universe up to this point will be unable to come full circle.
The introduction of Despero in The Flash’s Armageddon event would have also been significant, as the villain would return to be the foe of the Arrowverse Justice League reunion. Unfortunately, the Arrowverse Justice League will not band together to repel an alien invasion in The Flash season 9. However, this does not mean that beloved Arrowverse characters will be absent from the season. Several characters from The Flash will return, including Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen, Keiynan Lonsdale’s Wally West, and David Ramsey’s John Diggle.
Here is some news related to The Flash Actor Ezra Miller, who was Cited for Felony Burglary After Allegedly Stealing Alcohol From a Vermont Home.
The latter would have been a key component of The Flash’s original season 10 plans. The show intended to properly explore Diggle’s Green Lantern story via an adaptation of the iconic DC Comics event, The Blackest Night. Along with The Flash’s exciting season 10 plans, an original crossover storyline called The Forever War was revealed. According to Wallace, The Flash’s season 10 premiere would have featured as many Arrowverse heroes as possible.
All of these stories were originally planned by the showrunner for the 40 episodes that would have comprised The Flash seasons 9 and 10 but were canceled due to the show’s need to properly wrap up Barry’s nine-season story in a single 13-episode run. While the original The Flash plan was never realized, the DCU Lanterns series announcement seemed to hint at a possible adaptation of The Blackest Night.
