Season 4 of The Mandalorian has been in the works since before the third season even began, and after that finale, we’re glad to see more of Din Djarin and Grogu. Showrunner Jon Favreau — who also wrote or co-wrote every episode of the third season — confirmed in May 2022 that he was already working on season four, hinting at even more crossovers in Din’s future. “As Dave [Filoni]’s doing Ahsoka, it’s very much informing the writing I’m doing for season four,” he explained.
Since then, we’ve learned that Filoni will direct a new Star Wars film that will culminate all the stories from this era, including The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett, and others. Will There Be A Season 4 Of The Mandalorian
We don’t yet have a confirmed start date for The Mandalorian season four, even though we know it’s coming. We can only say that, like the previous seasons, it will be released on Disney+ and will most likely contain eight episodes. Normally, we’d say a new season would premiere later in the year, after the first season debuted in November 2019 and the second season in October 2020. However, things were pushed back for season three, which didn’t begin until March 2023.
Ahsoka arrived in August 2022, and Skeleton Crew will arrive later this year. Assuming that filming for The Mandalorian’s fourth season begins soon, we can expect it to premiere in late 2024, possibly around the October/November dates of the first two seasons. But for now, this is just speculation from us, and we’ll update you when we learn more.
Cast Prediction For Season 4 Of The Mandalorian
Din Djarin and Grogu survived, so Pedro Pascal will return as the Mandalorian (if it even refers to him). Before discussing other expected character returns, here is a spoiler warning. Incidentally I really doubt there will be a season 4 with the way Pedro Pascal wants more helmet-less screentime. I reckon the Boba Fett show will be a technical season 3, and Season 3 of Mandalorian is technically Season 4, just to make shit more confusing.

Expect to see more of Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Simon Kassianides as Axe Woves, and others now that Mandalore is under Mandalorian control. Moff Gideon, played by Giancarlo Esposito, was killed by Din, Bo-Katan, Grogu, and a burning ship. Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee may return in season four. What The Storyline Can Be For Mandalorian Season 4
In reality, the season three finale felt more like the end of a season than a preview of what was to come. Din Djarin adopted Grogu as his son after defeating the Moff. Grogu is now Din Grogu and a Mandalorian apprentice as a result. Greef Karga gave them a cabin outside of town when they returned to Navarro. Din Djarin tells Carson Teva that now that he has Grogu to train, he’ll be “more selective” in his assignments, offering to work for the New Republic “on a case-by-case basis” — but it’ll be a private arrangement between him and Carson.

Navarro, too, has a new marshal, but it’s not Din Djarin, but the rebuilt IG-11 (voiced by Taika Waititi). And that’s where the season ends, with Din Djarin and Grogu relaxing in their new digs. Season four has a relatively clean slate to work with, and we can expect the Star Wars series to build to Filoni’s film in the future. The standalone film will conclude this era of Star Wars storytelling, but it may also spawn new series. In an interview with Variety following the announcement at Star Wars Celebration, Filoni discussed what the thread would be that connects all of the Disney+ series to date into the movie.
“On a base level, I would just say the coming conflict, the growing idea that the empire wasn’t as defeated as a lot of people want to believe and that the remnant is out there,” “We saw that from the very beginning with The Mandalorian and how Gideon was plotting. There are always people that are willing to undermine something that the Republic is trying to build and put back on its feet.” Filoni continued: “I grew up with a lot of stories in the expanding universe that were exploring what happened after Return of the Jedi. There has been this, for fans, idea that there was a new Republic and a remnant Empire and the conflict persisted after Return of the Jedi, even though the heroes won and were more in control. What did that control look like? “And since Force Awakens is 30 years on out from Return of the Jedi, we have room then to tell another story. That’s what I’m coalescing into this time period.”
